- Framag was the first machine tool manufacturer to use the material Hydropol®, developed on its own premises. This is a steel-clad stone bed which, because of its excellent damping properties, is now being used by reputable manufacturers as the base for machine tools. Hydropol® can be shown to be the ideal material for absorbing the vibrations produced during the cutting process in order to achieve improved cutting performance, longer tool life, and more stable work holding. These properties, which among other things are the result of a finite-element simulation, were verified experimentally by the TU Munich. Accordingly the saw is certified as having significantly better damping behaviour compared with the usual machine tools.
- Only sawing machines from FRAMAG allow ISCAR side-milling cutters to be used economically. Thanks to this combination, there are distinct advantages for the customer: less capital tied up in machine tools and lower administration costs as a result of a smaller saw blade inventory, together with significantly shorter cutting times and longer tool life.
- We place particular importance on an assembly- and maintenance-friendly arrangement of all equipment concerned with fluids. For this reason the micrometering, central oil lubrication, pneumatic unit and hydraulic valves are all located centrally and easily accessible on the sawing machine.
- On the basis of extensive experience in the planning and assembly of flame-cutting machines for steel mills we pay particular attention to the robustness and reliability of the machine. Thus, one of our customers was able to make the 5,600,000-th cut (three saws in three-layer operation) eight years after successful commissioning without any significant incident. This just goes to prove the reliability of our sawing machines.
- The control system is user-friendly and requires only a short training period.
- An optional on-line service for the plant control system guarantees rapid operational support without any time delay in cases of breakdown.
- In our selection of replacement parts we place the greatest emphasis on reliability and availability to be able to give our customers the best possible service and rectify any fault as far as possible in the event of a breakdown.
- FRAMAG has in-depth know-how in the field of static, dynamic and thermal analysis using finite-element methods. The experience of numerous calculation projects for reputable machine tool manufacturers is also reflected in the development of sawing machines.
